Kingsford Town Centre received a refresh today with open space, roads, and cleaning and waste teams gave the area a dose of the special treatment.

They worked up Anzac Parade from the intersection of Meeks Street and Borrodale Road, delivering an intensive program of cleaning, maintenance and upgrade works.

The following was completed:

  • Replaced 40 street signs
  • Pruned 45 trees
  • Replaced ten square meters of pavers
  • Planted three new street trees
  • Laid 90 cubes of mulch
  • Planted 115 new ornamental plants
  • Replaced 2 seats and stained 21 more
  • Installed 25m of new fencing
  • Removed all bulky waste
  • Cleaned garbage and recycling bin cabinets
  • Steam cleaned approximately 2500 metres of pavement
  • Removed hundreds of graffiti tags and stickers
  • Cleaned the Rainbow Street carpark
